Experience

Over the past decade, I’ve worked as an Emergency Department nurse, caring for patients during some of the most critical and vulnerable moments of their lives.

Working in the ER also gave me another role I deeply value. Helping new nurses grow into confident clinicians. As a preceptor, I saw firsthand how capable nurses often doubt themselves simply because no one teaches them how to manage the pressure of the job.

Confidence in nursing isn’t about knowing everything.
It’s about learning how to stay steady while you learn.

 

Why Shift to Serenity Exists

Like many nurses, I experienced seasons where the stress of healthcare felt overwhelming.

That experience led me to ask an important question:

What if nurses were taught how to regulate stress, think clearly under pressure, and build confidence from the start of their careers?

That question became the foundation for Shift to Serenity, a space designed to support nurses in developing calm thinking, resilience, and clinical confidence.

 

What I Believe About New Nurses

I believe confidence in nursing grows through support, reflection, and real-world guidance.

New nurses don’t fail because they lack intelligence or compassion.

They struggle because the transition into practice is intense, and most are expected to figure it out on their own.

You deserve mentorship, tools, and a space where you can grow into the capable nurse you are becoming.
