Why You Feel Stuck (And Why It’s Not Your Fault): The 4 Shifts That Bring You Back to Yourself

If you’ve been feeling stuck lately, heavy, exhausted, unmotivated, or unsure where to begin, I want you to hear this clearly:

It’s not because you’re lazy.


It’s not because you’re broken.


And it’s definitely not because you “should be doing better.”

Most people try to change their lives with willpower alone.


But willpower only works for so long.


Eventually, you feel defeated despite trying your best.

If that’s you, breathe.


There is nothing wrong with you.


You just haven’t seen another way yet.


Today, I want to walk you through the four core areas that actually create grounded, sustainable change, the kind that feels steady, gentle, and deeply human.


Let’s get into it.



1. Mindset: The Stories Running the Show

Have you ever noticed how some thoughts feel like background noise?


They play all day long without you ever consciously choosing them:

“I should be doing better.”


“I’m not disciplined enough.”


“Something must be wrong with me.”

“Maybe I’m not good enough.” (This was my repeated thought).

These thoughts shape your reality more than you realize.


And here’s the truth most people never hear:


You’re not struggling because you’re incapable. You’re struggling because your inner narrative has been running on autopilot.


When you notice and shift old beliefs, surprising things happen: Your body softens, pressure lifts, and possibility returns.


🌿 Pay attention this week to one repeating thought. Ask, “Is this true? Or is it just familiar?”


2. Energy: You’re Not Just Tired, You’re Drained


People rarely discuss emotional fatigue, but it’s real.

You’re tired, not because you’re doing too little…


But because you’ve been carrying too much.

Your nervous system has been in survival mode for far too long.


Survival mode makes everything feel harder and more overwhelming.

This was me in the first half of 2024, with severe fatigue and brain fog. I thought that I needed to be put on meds.


When we work together, we look at your energy through a compassionate lens:

✨ What’s draining you?


✨ Where are you overgiving or overstretching?


✨ Where does your body need rest or nourishment?


From there, we rebuild habits to restore your energy, so you think clearly, breathe deeply, and recognize yourself again.

3. Skillset: You Don’t Need Discipline. You Need Tools


Many women (especially nurses) are taught that success requires grit.


But grit without tools leads straight to burnout.

You don’t need to be “more disciplined.”


You need a skillset that supports you. Things like:

  • Setting boundaries without guilt

  • Communicating your needs clearly

  • Creating simple routines that keep your life steady

  • Regulating your emotions without shutting down


When you build these skills, confidence feels attainable.


It becomes something you grow into, one small shift at a time.

4. Strategy: You Don’t Need a New Plan. You Need a New Rhythm


If you’ve been trying to fit your life into rigid schedules and complicated routines, no wonder you feel stuck.

You don’t need a perfect plan.


You need a rhythm that meets you where you are.

A rhythm that supports you.


A rhythm that honors your real life. Not the idealized, Pinterest-perfect version.


A rhythm that creates progress without pressure or burnout.


The shift happens not by doing more, but by doing what’s aligned.

The Truth You Haven’t Been Told


Sometimes feeling stuck is simply a sign.

There is nothing wrong with you. You don’t need fixing or to “try harder.”

You don’t need to be fixed.

You don’t need to “try harder.”


You just need support, clarity, and a new way of approaching your life. One that honors your humanity, your nervous system, and your deepest needs.
